Join us as we explore the bushland environments of Blackburn Lake Sanctuary and Yarran Dheran Nature Reserve. Learn about some of the amazing plants and animals that call this bush their home. Come along and connect with nature.
Creature Features Friday: 22nd April 10am -12 noon Join us as we investigate why the creatures of the bush look like they do and how it helps them to survive. Observe some of the taxidermied specimen in the Visitor Centre to examine physical adaptations. Explore the Blackburn Lake Sanctuary to see live examples of these adaptations or ‘creature features’ and how the animals use them. Meet at the Blackburn Lake Sanctuary Visitor Centre. This session is suitable for children 5 years and above. Children must be accompanied by a supervising adult. Please dress according to the weather. Part of the session will be outdoors – wear long sleeves, full length trousers, closed toe shoes, hat and sunscreen. We also recommend using an insect repellent with DEET.
